Oklahoma Celtic

Registration for 2016-17 Competitive Soccer

Email Don Rother with any questions regarding the competitive program.
The Competitive Division of soccer begins at U-11.  Oklahoma Celtic division of soccer is the most competitive level of play in NYSA. Our competitive players and coaches will demonstrate the highest level of commitment to excellence in skills, fitness, work ethic, attitude and sportsmanship. Selection into the competitive program for the 2016-2017 year will be held on June 1-3 at our Player ID tryouts.
Oklahoma Celtic teams train on a club training schedule. We ask that our teams train on Monday and Thursday throughout the year so that we can offer extra training opportunities for players on other days. Periodically throughout the year our players will be asked to train a third day. These sessions will be run and organized by DOC and age group coordinators. We also encourage our players to train with other teams when they can't make their own session and or are wanting more training opportunity.
We believe in developing players to their best, not in training for results. We will not taking shortcuts in the developmental process. Our players will be asked to compete at their highest level each day at training so that they may develop to their maximum potential. The development of our players comes before the development of our teams and its success.
Teams play on a yearly basis with winter break mid-December-mid January, and summer break in June. Camps run through the month of July and team training starts up at the end of July. Teams will compete in leagues that best challenge their level spanning from okc metro area league, state wide league and regional leagues with North and South Texas.Teams will compete in 6 - 8 tournaments annually. The competitive season culminates with the OSA State Cup and Directors Cup in May to determine state Champions in two levels of competition.
The Competitive Registration Fees and Monthly Fees are determined by the NYSA Board of Directors and published before each tryout year. Please refer to Financial Page under the Competitive Page for a breakdown of expenses due to the NYSA club and individual teams.
Players will attend player ID tryouts and be emailed their current team placement and a registration link.  Registration for the year is $295 (fall/spring registration and May fees) and choose your payment .
