Recreational - Season

Fall
Games will be played on Saturdays and at 1pm or later on Sundays (except for tournaments). Games for the fall season start on the first Saturday after Labor Day. We try to avoid playing on Saturdays with OU home football games against major opponents. We also do not play on the weekend of NPS fall break (if fall break occurs on two weekends, we will play on one of them).
Spring
Games will be played on Saturdays and at 1pm or later on Sundays (except for tournaments). We do not play on either weekend of NPS spring break and games start two weeks prior. If a tournament is scheduled at the complex before spring break, we will start three weeks prior to spring break (to allow two weekends of play before spring break).
Other dates
The pre-season coach’s meeting will occur within two weeks before the first game. Registration closes on the day following Back-To-School night.
Recreational - Location
U14-U19 Traveling Teams:
Traveling divisions (U14-U19) will be played at Gillis-Rother Soccer Complex and other sites in the OKC area (see Frontier Country website for details).
U05-U12 NYSA League Teams:
NYSA league games (U5-U12) will be played at Gillis-Rother Soccer Complex (12th and East Robinson) on Saturdays and Sundays. Maps to complex: Google, Yahoo, MapQuest, Microsoft Physical address: 1001 E Robinson, Norman, OK 73071
Teams practice one or two times per week at the coach’s discretion. On weeknights, teams practice at 4:30 PM or later in the location selected by the coach. Teams not practicing at a Norman public school or park need to notify the NYSA office before practicing.
Practices are not allowed at the soccer Gillis-Rother Soccer complex in order to maintain the fields for play. The Optimist fields at the front of the complex are open during the spring-the Optimist football teams use them in the fall. The competitive teams that practice on the fields pay a $500 per team per season fee.
