Recreational - Awards
U5-U6 players receive participation medals at the end of the season (provided by NYSA). Coaches should keep score for the purpose of adding players when teams get behind (see Rules). Scores are not reported and coaches are encouraged to focus on positive aspects of the game and not wins or losses.
U7-U8 players receive participation medals at the end of the season (provided by NYSA). This is a developmental age and we encourage coaches to focus on playing time and player development. Scores are kept for the purpose of adding players when teams get behind (see Rules). Scores are not reported, but keep track of your record (wins - losses - draws) for use in tournament scheduling and for forming divisions of teams with similar abilities during following seasons. Standings are not posted.
U9-U12 players will report scores and standings will be posted. Teams provide their own awards.
U14-U19 scores are posted on the Frontier Country (FCSA) website.
