Traveling Recreational Program-Age 13-19

The Traveling Recreational program is designed for player ages 13-19 who wish to continue playing soccer at the 11 v11 level. Registration will be on this page and 12 year old players will only be allowed if they are playing on a friendship form OTHERWISE no playing up into the traveling recreational division. NYSA will form teams according to the enrollment numbers and teams will consist of at least 2 age groups (13 & 14), but can include up to 4 age groups (15,16,17,18). Enrollment by the deadline is critical since coaches for this level are difficult to find. At the end of registration time, teams will be formed and last enrollment will only be if a current coach will accept a player. While we want players to continue at this age, we want teams to provide players with adequate playing time.

ALL JERSEYS STARTING THE FALL OF 2013 WILL BE ORDERED FROM THE SOCCER SHOP AND HAVE THE NYSA LOGO AND A NUMBER -TWO JERSEYS REQUIRED-ONE WHITE AND ONE GREEN. 

 

*This division fills up quickly so regsiter early.  We need coaches for this division or teams may be disbanded.

COACHES

Coaching this level takes knowledge and commitment on the part of the coach-you will need a manager to assist you with other issues since the teams are large and travel. You must pass a background check like any coach in the club so we can attach you to a team. IF you are bringing a friendship team, all players need to register by the deadline. We have players waiting for a team and we cannot hold opening for players and we WILL NOT bump out players because of late or players recruited late by coaches. You can go through our website-left menu-links to go to the Frontier Country Soccer Association. They schedule your games and basically run your league, but we will assist you in any way we can. Below is a short list of items they require.

 

REQUIRED READING OF COACHES:

 

All coaches need to go to www.okfcsoccer.com/click on the schedules and standing on the left menu/click on FCSA Traveling Recreational League. THIS PAGE IS VERY IMPORTANT. It contains contact information for other coaches/clubs, schedules, dates, and forms.

1. The FCSA Travel Rec TEAM INFORMATION for SCHEDULING FORM TEAM should be completed as soon as you decide to coach.  DUE AUGUST 15TH IN FC SOCCER OFFICE  fax 946-5266

 

2. Coaches will turn into FC  "blackout your dates"-It is due in FC office by  August 22.

 

2. FCSA GAME RESCHEDULE FORM-This form is available on the forms page and is due 7-10 days BEFORE YOUR SCHEDULE GAME. We cannot cancel games after that point due to online scheduling-once the referees are in we must pay them therefore you will be charged referee fees-$80-$110 per reschedule.

BLACK OUT DATES-Please print the Form and fax or scan it to them to request black out dates. They honor NOTHING-OU/Texas weekend, fall break, spring, break, Easter, etc. Since all of the clubs have different needs you must request what you need.

 

RESCHEDULES: It is extremely difficult to reschedule at this level. ALWAYS confirm a week before your game that the opposing team it committed to play. The procedure for reschedules is listed on the Frontier Country website (www.okfcsoccer.com ). IF YOU MUST reschedule, you should play it asap in order not to lose a date due to weather or the season getting backed up. If you have a problem getting a contact number for a coach, please notify the office and we will have Frontier Country contact them.

 

TEAM BOOK: Each team needs a book with player passes, birth certificates, and medical releases. The managers needs to compile this and MAKE copies of official rosters so you can give the referee one at each game.

 

TRAVEL: These teams will be joining the Frontier Country Soccer Association-just like beginning competitive teams-who will then schedule all their games. Games will be player IN AND OUT OF THE METRO AREA-Stillwater, Enid, Ardmore, Weatherford, Yukon, Choctow, Norman, Edmond, Oklahoma City etc can be included in this group. Each team will have around 4 home games and 4 away games which can include any of the above locations.

 

TEAM MANAGER: Managers are required to pass a background check in order to have access to team information onlin. Each team needs manager to help keep everyone aware of practice times, assist with jersey ordering, carpooling (if necessary), etc. Please offer any assistance you can to the coach. While many players are older and capable of driving or managing text messages, parents need to know of location changes and especially coaches needs to know how many players will be playing each game.

 

PARENT/PLAYER RESPONSIBILITES***NEW INFORMATION

Uniforms: Traveling Rec. teams need two uniforms (jerseys) from the Soccer Shop located next to the NYSA office. Players will order a two jerseys (white/green) with NYSA logo and they will be numbered for their roster. Cost is $15 (plus tax) for each jersey-teams can choose their sock and short colors. We have brought these inhouse in order to keep cost down in this area and ensure availability of jersey one season to the next-spring players need to be able to get the jersey ordered in the fall, etc. 

 

Player Photos: ALL PLAYERS in the division will be issued a player pass with a current head shot photo. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY of the player to upload this photo to their player profile-please use a current head shot-thumbnail size. (Must upload from pictures not a document) If someone from the team can bring a camera, it is sometimes easier to takes everyones picture at a meeting/practice and post them all at once.

Practice areas for this age group are difficult to find so please be prepared to meet at the area your coach can secure.
